Outdoor kitchen cabinets offer more than just storage and organization for your exterior living space. Outdoor cabinets tie together your best-in-class appliances with storage and provide your outdoor space and entertainment area with a unique look and style. If you have enough space you can also add a dining set or a bar to maximize functionality.

According to Fixr, the average range to build an outdoor kitchen is between $7,000 and $20,000. This price can decrease to $4,000 with stock cabinets, grill, and countertop and go up to $45,000 with luxury appliances, custom cabinets, and a separate seating area.

2. Outdoor Furniture

The enjoyment benefits of more outdoor time go beyond the simple enjoyment of an organized space. when you are choosing outdoor furniture, you need to consider both durable and stylish options.  Durable furniture will carry you through season after season. You can think of wicker or bamboo materials that are extremely durable.

Furniture Cost

We know, outdoor furniture is expensive but they need to withstand the climate and changes in the weather. Generally speaking, a quality cushioned chair will cost between $800 and $2,000 and a sofa will cost $1,800 to $3,000. But from side chairs to rugs, televisions to plants there are way more things that you need to purchase and these can vary based on design, material, and size.

3. Backyard Fireplace

Fireplaces don’t just happen indoors. They are indispensable elements of our gardens. A fireplace patio or backyard shares the pleasant time you spend with your family and friends and will get the job done in style. From natural stone to wood and brick outdoor fireplaces provide a warmer and cozier atmosphere in nature and make a timeless statement.

An outdoor fireplace will cost anywhere between $1,500 to $20,000, some even hitting $50,000. Unfinished contractor models and pre-made kits normally cost between $1,500 to $9,000.

4. Movie Theater

Home theaters are a great place to spend time with your family. If you have enough space what about moving the home theater to your backyard? There are no specific rules for designing a backyard movie theater. It is all about the ambiance. You can create your theater even with a simple white sheet with a movie projector and some comfortable seats or go to more high-tech features like an exclusive sound system. 

Movie Theater Costs

Depending on your budget, a backyard theater can be as simple or elaborate as you choose. However, there are 3 indispensable elements: movie screen, projector, and audio system. A basic projector starting at around $350 and might go up to $1,700. For a movie screen, the price runs anywhere from $90 to $1,300 or more but if you don’t want to spend money, even a white sheet can do this job. Although, most of the projectors come with sound the quality of sound is not great, especially for the outdoors. If you want portable speakers, the price will between $170 – $400. For a permanent outdoor speaker system, the price starting at around $2,000.

6. Backyard Pools

From organic shapes to simple minimalist designs, including a pool will add a space that can get relaxed or spend quality time with your family. When designing a backyard pool, the wide range of material, style, and shape allow your pool to easily complement the architecture and style of your house. While an infinity pool offers more than an uninterrupted view, a lap pool might be a good solution for residential.

There are lots of swimming pool design ideas for all styles and budgets. Most homeowners spending between $18,000 to $85,000 depending on the pool type and size. If you are looking for a cheaper material you can go with a vinyl liner swimming pool. Concrete and fiberglass are more expensive materials.
